Lonely Places

I took Jesus' example and disappeared for a couple of days. Just me and the Lord and the book "The Cost of Discipleship" were alone in the woods (well a state park shelter). I had a wonderful time reading, praying, hiking, bird watching and just being with the Lord. The time was very pleasant and peaceful.

Last year I did this. I should not have waited to do it again. My plan is to make this a part of my life where from time to time I go away for a couple of days just to be with the Lord. The benefits far out way the cost of doing so.
